Q&A WITH JASON ARENS
Sunday, August 5, 2012 at 7:14PM What's been happening this summer?? Just hanging out back in Tahoe for now. I had spent the early summer coaching at the new Woodward Tahoe, then made the trek up to Oregon to spend some time at Windells. I start school at Sierra Nevada College in a few weeks so I'm just preparing for that and hangin out.
How was your first go around with Woodward Tahoe? Kids get stoked? Woodward was super fun, the on snow set up was great, especially for California in the middle of the summer. And the Bunker is awesome, kids sure do love trampolines!
You drove up to Hood too.. how was Surface Week this year? Best week of the year by far! I don't get to shred with the entire crew that often, so I really look forward to seeing everyone. Vacation Jeff even came out of hibernation for the week , that was cool.
You do a little coaching? Any campers stand out this year?? I only ended up coaching for one session this summer at Windells, but luckily had a rad group of kids! They were all shredding and laying down the mack on any girl in their path. As far as standouts, Josh Lloyd is the man, end of story.
Tell us a little about Good Enough? What's the idea there? We're just a crew of friends that like to ski together and make edits. This season we were able to recruit Yung Gary (Garrett Jurach) to film us for the season, which was awesome. We are working on continuing the series this season as well as making another movie, but with the incredibly low work ethic of the entire crew, we will see what happens.
Who is Noah Curry? The inventor of "Lazy Kid" and the "Slug", as well as the closest thing skiing will ever have to Rick Ross. I have been skiing with him for the past few seasons, he keeps me in check, lets me know when the stuff I am doing is lame. He also is a good person to have around if you ever need someone seriously beaten up, if you catch my drift...
Got any plans for the fall? Just starting school and waiting for snow to fall. I am hoping to be able to do a bit of traveling this season so I am kinda working with the crew to plan stuff out for the season. but as usual we have no idea what we are doing.
